12th Annual Regional DV-NJ Chapters HIMSS Conference: “Healthcare Rocks”

A regional meeting sponsored jointly by the New Jersey and Delaware Valley HIMSS chapters.

When: October 23 – 25, 2019

Where: Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City, NJ

Presentation proposals due date extended to July 18, 2019

Speakers will be notified of selection by August 19, 2019

Those speakers selected to present in the education sessions will receive free admission to the conference excluding the CPHIMS prep course, exams and golf. Travel & Hotel costs are not covered for those speakers.

Requested Presentation Track Please check the box that best applies to the topic of your presentation. You are only able to select 1 track per abstract. You may submit multiple unique abstracts. The planning committee reserves the right to place your presentation in a track at our discretion based on the number of topics received and audience demand.

We expect that the conference will have five topical learning tracks. We have added examples of suggested subject matter descriptions applicable for each track.

The general categories for submission are:

  • Progressive Rock: Healthcare Analytics:

Track Focus Measuring and Management Solutions: Precision Medicine, Predictive Analytics, Business Intelligence, Population Health Metrics, Data Normalization, Decision Support and Performance Management.

  •  Hard Rock: Clinical Solutions

Track Focus Enterprise and Departmental Clinical Problem Solutions:  Clinical Optimization, Medical Devices, Mobile Technology, EMR Optimization, Quality Reporting, Document Imaging Management, Promoting Interoperability (PI).

  •  Alternative Rock: Consumerism and Patient Engagement

Track Focus: Patient Experience, Portal, mHealth,  Home Medical Devices, Telehealth, Wearables, Chronic Disease Management, Real Life Stories to solve patient issues, Goals and Outcomes, CRM.

  •  Classic Rock: Privacy and Security

Track Focus: Compliance and HIPAA regulations, securing patient information, combating cybersecurity threats and emerging technologies to enhance an organization security profile, high availability.

  •  Heavy Metal: Healthcare Market Disruptors

Track Focus Enterprise and Departmental Business Problem Solutions: ERP, Supply Chain, ECM, Value Base Reimbursement, Infrastructure Technology (cloud, hybrid), Communication platforms (direct to consumer, provider to provider, “on prem” optimization), Blockchain.
